My first trip to the Caribbean in 2005 proved that music had become my travel ticket. My passion and art had opened so many doors – even across international borders. Maintaining a freelance performance schedule means popping up in cities, states, and countries at an almost random rate. Lorie and her family started showing up from time to time to see where her “baby cousin” was playing. Their visits to my performances have often been unannounced and are usually accompanied by an “ex post facto” photo post to prove that she had seen me pop up somewhere in the world.
