My bassist and I have been playing music together for about 5 years now. With a background as a metal guitarist, Brad’s value as an adaptable musician became evident almost immediately. We’ve formed a drum & bass package behind numerous musicians, and currently work with The Copacetics and Panoramic View. This piece capitalizes on Brad’s ability to lay down a groove that simultaneously features the bass as a melodic instrument and a harmonic support to whatever may be going on in the upper voices. Soloistic in nature, the bass line also has dependable and repetitive elements. As a “jam,” this piece is your invitation to adapt the melody to your ideas, playing, experimenting and creating something new each time.
