My cousin had a kid. For some unknown reason, this toddler has decided I’m just about his favorite person in the world. For some similar reason, he’s my favorite toddler. We spend a bunch of time together. He basically started verbal communication with the word “Adoof.” It took awhile to figure out what it meant, but it simply means “Let’s move this gathering to another level.” So, if you’re downstairs, it means “upstairs.” But if you’re upstairs it could mean “time to go to the basement.” Sometimes it’s a question: “Adoof?” while sometimes it’s a demand “Adoof!” Moral of the story: His linguistic creativity deserved a song.
